Although the Governing Body has seven parents on it already, since becoming an Academy we thought we would try and capture the thoughts, suggestions and feelings of our parents outside the formality of the Governing Body and its committees.
The Parent Council is a forum which we eventually intend will have representatives from all year groups and sections of the student body. This is an advisory group whose feedback will be taken straight to the Leadership Team through Lynette Grimshaw, our Director People, and to the Governors through the Chair, Deborah Leighton Plom.
The main business of the Council is to feed back to the College about what they consider is working well and also to suggest what could be improved. It will also be an important testing ground for new policies.
The Council meets twice a term and the meeting dates will be on the Diary.
