Extra-Curricular Music
How to arrange Music Lessons for your child
Our peripatetic tutors are self employed and lessons are arranged by contacting them, and you would also pay them for lessons direct too. Most tutors teach at least 10 lessons per term during lesson time. Whenever possible they use a timetable that rotates, so that the students do not miss the same lesson every week.
Timetables / Lessons
Once you have contacted the tutor and arranged for your child to have lessons, they will receive a timetable giving details of lesson dates and times. There are usually at least 10 lessons per term. Please note that lessons are timetabled on a rotation basis whenever possible so that you child will not miss the same school lesson every week. Timetables are also displayed on the music notice boards on both sites. If your child is going to be absent from a lesson please remember to inform your tutor.
Other Music Activities
Music Department organises lunchtime and after school clubs including Ensembles, Choirs, Orchestras, Music Workshops, Taiko and of course, we have our Jazz Band. All students are encouraged to participate in other extra curricular musical events organised by our college Music Department.
