In this complex and rapidly changing world, an education in the Humanities is absolutely critical for young people to become responsible and well informed global citizens.
At QE a wide range of subjects make up our Humanities education:
• Geography
• History
• Religious Education
• Citizenship
• Business Studies
• Psychology
• Sociology
At Key Stage 3 students study Geography, History, Religius Education and Citizenship. There is a wide range of choice in Humanities disciplines at Key Stage 4 and 5 and our courses are popular and successful.
We encourage students to explore a range of issues in an active way in their lessons through investigations, the use of ICT, problem solving, field visits and group work. We seek to make learning in Humanities lively, topical and engaging. We hope our young people will be able to make connections between local, national and global events and learn a wide variety of skills that will help prepare them for their future life.
