QE has two attractive, welcoming Learning Resource Centres...each equipped with a touch screen interactive white board, as well as a vast selection of quality materials to support Teacher and Student learning. This includes books, computers, laptops, Ereaders, daily newspapers and current magazines.
Both libraries are open from 8.30am-5.00pm daily.
Two books can be borrowed for two weeks - longer lending times can be arranged.
As students cross the bridge into Lower School the Library is the first room they come to. Light and spacious with spectacular views across rolling Devon countryside, the Library has been designed and furnished with the student's learning and pastoral needs at it's heart. There is a real buzz at break and lunchtime - with games, activities and the sharing of books, all overseen by Student Librarians. The Library also plays a key role in the school's commitment to transition. Students can also access audio books in the Story Cave found in the reception.
Situated in the oldest part of the Upper School site - College House, built in 1864 - the Library has a stock of over 13,000 books. The space is very flexible, with moveable bookcases, and is used for meetings, hospitality events, presentations and Parent Consultation Days. There is a photocopier - with its own card - available for both Teachers and Students to use. The School's considerable history can be seen displayed on the Library walls with Honour Boards, War Memorials and images and lists of former Heads Of School and Headmasters.

Book of the week
| The sixth and final heart-stopping installment in the bestselling GONE series. An exceptional page-turner. Escapism just doesn't get better than this. All eyes are on Perdido Beach. The barrier wall is now as clear as glass and life in the FAYZ is visible for the entire outside world to see. Life inside the dome remains a constant battle and the Darkness, away from watchful eyes, grows and grows ...The society that Sam and Astrid has struggled so hard to build is about to be shattered for good. It's the end of the FAYZ. But who will survive to see the light of day? 'This is great fiction. I love these books.' Stephen King |
