During the summer term Mrs Griffiths, Year 7 Team Leader, will visit each Primary School to give students information about QE and provide an opportunity for the children to ask any questions. Please check with your child’s Primary School for the date of this visit.
Library staff visit all the Primary schools and organise the Year 6 inter school general knowledge and literary quiz. Our Librarians also produce a booklet with all you need to know about the libraries including borrowing ebooks. They are also organising the ‘Greenaway Medal Shadowing’ a competition based on presentations on the books selected for this year’s Greenaway award.
QE is proud to once again host Steve Bradshaw and Steve Skidmore, probably Britain’s most popular writing and performing double act for young people. They will be entertaining all Year 6 with a lively, interactive literary game show not to be missed!
This is the big one! All year 6 will be at QE for the day. They will experience a 'normal' day at QE, with timetabled lessons and guidance on all the necessary logistics! Students will take part in lessons with a team building twist and meet (some!) of their new classmates and teachers. It is the responsibility of individual parents to arrange transport to and from QE on that day. There is an information evening aimed at parents and children, designed to tell you all you need to know about the practicalities of life at QE.
