There are no admissions tests using academic criteria, and admissions for years 7-13 are selected using criteria that the student is likely to be suitable for living in a boarding environment whilst attending our school. Under special circumstance, it may be possible to take Year 6 pupils who will be attending a local Primary School. Any student may apply for a place as a boarder providing they hold a British Passport or are an EU citizen.
The receipt of a confidential school report and visits within School and Boarding form part of the application process. Appropriate School and Boarding staff will assess suitability for a place, and the school reserves the right to decline an application if the student is not assessed as suitable for QE Academy Trust.
A student who already has a place as a Boarder may apply for a Sixth Form Boarding place during Year 11. Students apply separately for a school place. The prospective Sixth Form student is interviewed by academic and pastoral staff following their application. Priority is given to Sixth Form applications from students wishing to study for two years.
Complete the Boarding Application Form, along with the Sixth Form Application Form (if necessary), and return them to Boarding. The forms are available for download in a PDF format on this website, or can be emailed to you.
