Queen Elizabeth's is an independent state school offering a wide range of opportunities and a very rich curriculum to over 1500 students aged 11-18 and of all abilities. We are also a Training School and Cornwall and Devon's only state Boarding school.

At QE we are proud of our long history and tradition, which dates back to 1547, but we are also determined to provide the best possible preparation for our young people to become happy and successful adults in the 21st Century.

We are particularly proud of our Sixth Form provision which Ofsted rated as Outstanding in March 2009.

QE stands at the heart of a thriving Learning Community that includes thirteen primary schools spread across hundreds of square miles of rolling Devon countryside. We work very closely together to make sure our children and young people can succeed in their education, whatever their abilities or aptitudes, from the time they first come to our Lower School to the time they leave for University or work.
